Foil Laminated Butyl Strip
- A synthetic rubber butyl sealing strip with various types of films laminated to the outside for different applications
- Available with an aluminium foil, white or titanium (off white) film backing
- Good UV resistance and very good chemical resistance to dilute acids and alkalis – does not dry out or go brittle
- Extruded onto a siliconised release paper making it easy to use
- Bonds well to porous and non-porous surfaces
- Compatible with polycarbonate sheeting
- Used to seal joins in coolstore panels (specific application procedure applies. Information available on request)
- Used as an alternative to traditional lead flashings
- Used as a flashing on conservatories
- Can be used for the repair of metal gutters and downpipes
- Available as 1.5mm thick and only in standard widths
